1938 Hebrew Orphan Asylum Vintage Ballcap by EBBETS FIELD
The Hebrew Orphan Asylum was a Jewish orphanage founded in New York City in 1860. The organization had baseball and basketball teams and it was the baseball field at one of its later facilities that has a notable place in baseball history. In a deal that ultimately fell through, the New York Yankees were in negotiations to purchase the grounds for what would've become Yankee Stadium. Ebbets has recreated the hat its teams wore as part of its latest collection of vintage ballcaps. This cap features the Star of David in white felt against an all-navy wool hat. The cap is currently on pre-order for the price of $38.
