Lids pay homage to basketball history with The Black Fives Fitted Hat Collection as part of the headwear store’s They Gave Us Game initiative. Lids tapped Physical Culture to create team hats that take cues from the pre-NBA period in basketball history. The teams in this collection are all-black teams during the segregation era that played between themselves, and sometimes against all-white teams. They also came with Black Fives hats that feature a front logo, except for one black cap that also features team logos across its six panels. The left panel features an embroidered logo of Physical Culture. The Black Fives logo embroidery at the back is matched with the color scheme for the hat. View the whole collection here.
